Ameinias aus (dem Demos) Acharnai<hi rend="sup">VI</hi><lb n="5"/>war Sekretär; von den Vorsitzenden leitete<lb n="6"/>die Abstimmung Antiphanes aus (dem Demos) Euonymon;<lb n="7"/>Demades S.d. Demeas aus (dem Demos) Paiania stellte den Antrag:<lb n="8"/>zu Glück und Heil des Volkes der Athener,<lb n="9"/>wolle beschließen das Volk: Da wohlwollend<lb n="10"/>ist - -ios S.d. Andromenes aus - - -<lb n="11"/>gegenüber dem Volk der Athener - - -<lb n="12"/>sich annimmt der Athener, die<lb n="13"/>Philipp besuchen, und dabei<lb n="14"/>Gutes tut nach Kräften den Athenern<lb n="15"/>bei Philipp, dass er sei Proxenos und<lb n="16"/>Wohltäter des Volkes der Athener,<lb n="17"/>er selbst und seine Nachkommen, und<lb n="18"/>sich seiner annehme der Rat und<lb n="19"/>die Generäle, wann immer es nötig ist;<lb n="20"/>dass dieses Proxenie-Dekret aufzeichne auf<lb n="21"/>eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle der Sekre-<lb n="22"/>tär, der während der Prytanien amtiert, auf der<lb n="23"/>Akropolis; für die Aufzeichnung auf<lb n="24"/>der Stele soll der Schatzmeister dreißig<lb n="25"/>Dachmen gemäß dem Gesetz geben.</ab></div><div type="translation" xml:lang="EN" resp="Stephen Lambert"><ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>Gods.<lb/><hi rend="smallit">vacat 0,04</hi><lb n="2"/>In the archonship of Phrynichos (337/6), in the<lb n="3"/>tenth prytany, of Pandionis, for which<lb n="4"/>Chairestratos son of Ameinias of Acharnai<lb n="5"/>was secretary. Of the presiding committee<lb n="6"/>Antiphanes of Euonymon was putting to the vote.<lb n="7"/>Demades son of Demeas of Paiania proposed:<lb n="8"/>for the good fortune of the Athenian People,<lb n="9"/>the People shall decide: since<lb n="10"/>-os son of Andromenes of - is well disposed<lb n="11"/>towards the Athenian People [and now?]<lb n="12"/>takes care of Athenians<lb n="13"/>visiting Philip, doing<lb n="14"/>what good is in his power for the Athenians<lb n="15"/>with Philip, he shall be proxenos and<lb n="16"/>benefactor of the Athenian People,<lb n="17"/>himself and his descendants, and<lb n="18"/>the Council shall take care of him, and the generals,<lb n="19"/>whatever may be needed;<lb n="20"/>and the prytany secretary shall inscribe<lb n="21"/>the proxeny on a stone stele<lb n="22"/>and stand it on the acropolis;<lb n="23"/>and for inscribing the<lb n="24"/>stele let the treasurer give thirty<lb n="25"/>drachmas, according to the law.</ab></div>
